CRN Tech Impact Awards 2022: Techies Go Green and our Signatories make the Final!

Go back to all blogs

Techies Go Green, along with a number of our signatories, have been shortlisted in the CRN Tech Impact Awards.

Technology has tremendous power to reshape the world for the better.  The CRN Tech Impact Awards, and also CRN's wider Tech Impact campaign, will highlight, honour and celebrate those vendors, distributors, IT resellers and MSPs leading the way when it comes to their own environmental and social impact , and that of their technology, solutions and services.

The Tech Impact Campaign will run throughout 2022 and will culminate with the Tech Impact Awards on Thursday 15 September, broadcast live from our London studio. But this virtual event will be more than just an awards ceremony. We will showcase how the channel can seize the opportunity around sustainability and CSR through short documentary films, live panel debates, exclusive interviews and video case studies. While of course recognising the finalists of awards categories, and celebrating the winners.

It’s our Unsung Heros that are making the difference

Sustainable transformation of the channel is being driven by individuals as well as companies

That's why CRN opted to add a ‘Sustainability Unsung Hero Award,' category in this year's Tech Impact Awards, the winners of which will be announced on 15 September. This is evidence that the IT Channel is changing, and for the better. These are people who are driving change outside of normal work hours, and it is not in their job description. They range from company CEOs, to receptionists or the HR assistant.

They are truly unsung, as they were nominated not by themselves, but by partners or colleagues. Michael O’Hara, our Co-Founder of Techies Go Green has been nominated amoungst some amazing leaders in the sustainability movement.

If you have worked Michael, please feel free to email doug.woodburn@incisivemedia.com with a short message of support.

This will then feed into the decision-making of our judging panel when they select the winners.
