How the IT industry can Shape a More Sustainable Future

Friday, 24th June @ 10:30am

We're going to be joined by two of the world's leading IT vendors, IGEL and Citrix, discussing how they are fostering sustainable behaviour among their distributors and reseller partners.

No layer of the channel can solve the sustainability conundrum by itself. Channel partners need their vendor allies to increase the pace of innovation, but vendors must also foster sustainable behaviour among their distributors and resellers as channel partners and end users look to their vendors to set the pace on sustainability.

Ben Ward - Principal Presales Engineer UK & I, IGEL

Ben Ward is an EUC veteran, having spent half his career in IT working for Citrix, VMware and now IGEL. He has a passion for exploring new ways of working and evangelising the benefits that a properly thought out EUC strategy can bring to businesses, individuals and wider society.

Gerry Lavin - Senior Sustainability Strategist, Citrix

Gerry Lavin is a Senior Sustainability Strategist in the Citrix Product Management and Marketing Organisation. Prior to joining Citrix 3 years ago, he was a customer where he led an engineering team at a large professional services firm. Gerry is keenly interested in understanding how our customers are using technology to transform their business.

Ben Ward from IGEL and Gerry Lavin from Citrix will be debating the role vendors need to play to increase the pace of sustainability innovation and enable sustainable business practices for the future. There will also be a discussion on how they are tackling the sustainability issue both internally and for their partners and customers, and will look at what organisations can do to reduce their environment impact
