Embracing The Circular Economy - Options For Your Business

Speakers Sebastien Vibert at Atos and Steve Haskew at Circular Computing discuss why transition to a circular economy and highlight the easy wins that businesses can employ to quickly transition to a circular economy.

In this fireside chat, our panel discuss the options and technologies available

As we move to a low carbon economy, many businesses have started to look at reducing energy consumption or making the switch to renewable sources. Businesses must start to focus on their procurement policies and how they manage equipment assets in their organisations. Now is the time to embrace the circular economy.

What Is The Circular Economy?

This is a sustainable alternative to the current linear economy model which is based on a ‘take, make, consume and dispose’ approach. The circular economy model seeks to eliminate waste and reduce pollution levels as low as feasibly possible by keeping raw materials and products in use for as long as possible. Embracing this approach lowers the demand for resources, reduces environmental pressure, and helps create a more sustainable society. It can also generate significant savings for businesses in comparison to the buy new equipment churn that currently dominates purchasing decisions.
