How the IT industry Can Shape a More Sustainable Future

Leading IT vendors IGEL and Citrix debate the role vendors need to play to increase the pace of sustainability innovation and enable sustainable business practices for the future. They discuss how they are tackling the sustainability issue both internally and for their partners and customers and will look at what organisations can do to reduce their environment impact.

In his session Ben Ward from IGEL looks at the fact that for a long we have been told that the best way to run a sustainable IT operation is to reduce power consumption. What if he told you that there was an easier way to reduce consumption that also reduces the cost of your IT estate? It’s a fact that most of the environmental impact of a typical end user device is not generated during its working life, but instead during manufacturing.

Gerry Lavin from Citrix shares his insights into what organisations can do to reduce their environment impact and will discuss what Citrix is doing to tackle the sustainability issue both internally and for their customers.
