HPE's Journey to Net-Zero
In 2017, HPE was the first IT company to set Science Based Targets initiative-approved greenhouse gas reduction targets across our value chain aligned with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C trajectory.
Now, as part of our Living Progress strategy, HPE has set forth a path to reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our value chain by 2040. Our roadmap outlines the actions needed to transform our business and to empower our suppliers and customers to do the same.
HPE publishes its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance data on an annual basis. Review the latest Data Summary: https://www.hpe.com/us/en/living-progress/report.html
For Meaningful Change Change, Start By Building A Culture of Sustainability
For Meaningful Change Change, Start By Building A Culture of Sustainability
To make a real impact with your sustainability strategy, you will need buy-in from all levels of your organisation. A great first step to fostering this culture is hosting a companywide sustainability town hall. Make sure to leave time for questions and brainstorming. This will help you to gauge interest and gather ideas. Next, nominate a sustainability lead and put together a green team (sustainability committee), made up of passionate volunteers from different departments. Whether you are just starting out or already are working towards targets, having a green team can make a big difference. Meet regularly to identify opportunities for improvement and to develop actionable solutions.
