HPE's Journey to Net-Zero
In 2017, HPE was the first IT company to set Science Based Targets initiative-approved greenhouse gas reduction targets across our value chain aligned with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C trajectory.
Now, as part of our Living Progress strategy, HPE has set forth a path to reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our value chain by 2040. Our roadmap outlines the actions needed to transform our business and to empower our suppliers and customers to do the same.

Highgate Achieves Carbon Neutral Plus Status
Highgate IT Solutions has announced it has achieved Carbon Neutral Plus status. Techies Go Green recommended Carbon Footprint to Highgate, a carbon emissions auditing organisation who would provide guidance on calculating emissions, offsetting projects and verification and certification for carbon neutrality. Following the insights, Highgate’s leadership team decided to double down on its carbon offsetting to achieve Carbon Neutral Plus Status.

The Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC), a top global incubator in the heart of Dublin City and home to more than 160 innovative start-ups, today announces that it is partnering with Techies Go Green and building out its sustainability cluster at its hub in Dublin. Eamon Ryan T.D., Minister for the Environment and Climate, launched the new cluster at an event at Guinness Enterprise Centre.

We have moved towards a more sustainable culture at Transputec, We are ISO 14001 accredited, with an active and enthusiastic Environmental Management Systems (EMS) committee in place. We’ve invested in a carbon calculator supplied by Climate Essentials. Now we can manage and report our environmental management goals centrally, share them between teams and with senior stakeholders, and closely track our progress. We made a commitment to renewable energy, switching our electricity sources to a green option. Recently we’ve installed 70 solar panels to generate our own power which reduces our CO2 output by 7.5 tonnes each year.

Celebrating One Year of Folens Goes Green
A year ago, we at took a bold step towards a greener future at Folens with the launch of our sustainability initiative, Folens Goes Green. We set ourselves a goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2025. During this inaugural year, we have successfully reduced our water use by 50% since April. We have Implemented waste segregation systems and provide waste training to our team. We've achieved a remarkable 30% reduction in electricity consumption since early 2022. We’re phasing out our diesel car fleet and opting for electric vehicles (EVs).
